The Vancouver Island Military Museum (VIMM) is situated in downtown Nanaimo’s dynamic waterfront in the Centennial Building, on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. The museum is close to the Port Theatre, the Nanaimo Gallery, the Nanaimo Museum, and a diverse community of local shops and organizations.
VIMM is located inside the heritage Centennial Building, a standalone site beside Piper Park, with its own accessible, free parking lot. Our entrance doors are at the top of the righthand stairs. For ramp access, park in the upper lot, and take the ramp to the doors.
