The Vancouver Island Military Museum (VIMM) brings local military heritage to life through engaging Living History Tours. Offered for FREE to visitors, these tours are led by knowledgeable Veteran volunteers who share the personal stories, sacrifices, and contributions of Canadian service members. Featuring VIMM’s extensive collection of artifacts—spanning from the War of 1812 through to modern-day peacekeeping and operations in Afghanistan—tours utilize themed exhibits to connect audiences with Canadian military history. Tours can be tailored from general overviews to specialized topics upon request for school field trips, community groups, youth organizations, and private tours.
Our tours can range from 60 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your groups’ interests. Please indicate if you have any time constraints we should take into consideration.
